Experiential Showroom: Making Data Feel Human
WMH Project designed a 100 sqm brand showroom where customer data is told, seen and experienced live. The stance: turn an expected institutional space into a warm, modular venue enhanced by conversational AI. Seven immersive experiences explore customer knowledge, satisfaction and collective innovation.
Why turn a data showroom into a place to live in?
The brief came from an international financial services player facing the cold, technological imaginary often attached to data. WMH Project's answer: design an embodied, warm and desirable space — a place you visit to exchange, get inspired and experiment, not to "watch a demo". The aesthetic borrows from hospitality and residential design: natural materials, soft light, ease of use. The guiding principle, dubbed "data shelter", turns scenography into a generous, accessible language.
How do you structure seven coherent immersive experiences?
The journey articulates seven complementary experiences, explorable alone or as a full sequence:
- Customer knowledge: a 360° view blending behavioural, emotional and contextual data.
- Partner relationship: reading the value created with retail partners.
- End consumer: sensory immersion into journeys and emotions.
- Satisfaction (NPS): dynamic visualisation of scores and segments.
- Virtual panel: a co-creation and product-testing space.
- Memory: analysis of emotional trace and recall.
- Ideation workshop: turning insights into innovation leads.
Each experience offers multiple entry points and cross-links to the others, building shared intelligence across functions.
What role does conversational AI play?
An embodied, vocal and visual AI takes the form of a projected avatar that converses naturally out loud. It understands spoken questions, answers in real time and drives the data display: curves, clusters, personas, heat maps. Content adapts to the visitor's profile and level of expertise. The AI is never a gimmick: it augments the human facilitator, invites comparison and hypothesis testing ("What if?"), and can close each session with a personalised voice and visual report.
How do you stage data to make it tangible?
Data visualisation is treated as a material of emotion and understanding. Walls, ceilings and floors become surfaces of expression: hand-drawn graphs, moving word clouds, light flows. Familiar objects turn into interfaces — a lamp that changes colour with measured trust, a mirror that visualises behaviours. Data becomes pop, playful and embodied: it is told rather than demonstrated.
How do you organise a modular, self-running 100 sqm?
Zoning combines an immersive entry corridor, a "coffee lab" welcome area, a central touch table for collective exploration, two to three quiet observation stations and an informal debrief zone. The space scales from 2-3 guests to a 15-20 person workshop without losing clarity. A simple, secure back office lets internal teams update content and adjust journeys with no technical assistance, keeping the venue alive to campaigns and insights.
What responsible commitments frame the project?
WMH Project is a mission-driven company, certified ISO 20121 (responsible event management) and ISO 27001 (information security). This dual framework guarantees reduced footprint, inclusion, traceability and rigorous data governance — aligned with a major group's CSR and governance requirements.

FAQ
What is a "data shelter" experiential showroom?
It is a brand space where data stops intimidating and becomes a medium for relationship and emotion. The hospitality-inspired scenography makes data warm, legible and shareable.
How is AI integrated into the experience?
A vocal and visual AI, embodied by a projected avatar, converses with visitors in real time and drives the data display. It augments the human facilitator rather than replacing them.
Does the showroom adapt to different visit formats?
Yes. The modular 100 sqm hosts both a 2-3 person exchange and a 15-20 participant collaborative workshop, with zones running standalone or linked into a full journey.
